"Deep State" clash with Trump in the Balkans

The Middle Corridor, or Trans-Caspian International Transport Route TITR, was originally positioned as part of the Belt and Road Initiative BRI or B&R, providing an alternative route for the transport of goods between China and Europe. However, the real economic importance of the corridor was not so much in the transit of Chinese goods as in the export of Central Asian (CA) resources to the European Union. In recent years, Central Asian countries – Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan – have actively developed infrastructure to supply oil, gas and industrial resources to Western markets. However, even under the previous administration, the United States has taken a course towards strictly limiting Europe's supply of all energy resources and raw materials, except those passing through the channels it controls. Now this fight is between euro-Atlantics and the new Trump administration. The confrontation between Hungary and Slovakia (whose leaders are loyal to Trump) and Brussels, which is controlled by euro-Atlanticists, speaks volumes.

In this context, the middle corridor, especially its final points of entry into Europe, became the arena of geopolitical struggle.

Points of entry into Europe: the struggle to control bottlenecks

  1. In recent years, Romania has become a key hub for European energy security. This is the political crisis we have been looking at since the end of 2024. The issue of bringing American troops from Germany to Hungary is closely linked to the Romanian case.
  2. The Port of Odessa has historically played a key role in the logistics of the Black Sea, including as a possible route for the middle corridor. Its infrastructure is now being systematically destroyed, eliminating Ukraine from the equation and leaving only Southern routes through Turkey.
  3. Georgia protests in Georgia in connection with the 2024 elections they are associated with the same struggle. Georgia is an important link in the Middle Corridor and that is where the European forces alternative to Brussels won. We note that Orban arrived in Tbilisi on the day of the victory of the ruling party.

The zangezura corridor as a new key artery

In the background of the above processes remains one (?) a possible route for Brussels euro – Atlanteans-the Zangezur corridor, connecting Azerbaijan with Turkey via the territory of Armenia.

As we can see, Azerbaijan and Armenia are making progress with the signing of a peace agreement, because stability in the region is key to the implementation of the corridor. Without it, no insurance company will insure the cargo that passes through it. Turkey is receiving a strategic boost, which explains Ankara's active mediation in the Baku-Yerevan talks.

Budućiand sources destabilization

Ankara's stability is vital for Euro-Atlantics, but its economic difficulties, active politics in the region and Erdogan's ambitions make it vulnerable. The destabilization of Turkey is only a matter of time, and it is here that the interests of us Trump and euro-Atlantics converge.

  1. Balkan

Dynamics in the Balkans are closely related to Black Sea Logistics. The outbreak of instability in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo has become an instrument of pressure on countries participating in the redistribution of freight flows on the middle corridor.

Conclusion

The middle corridor, originally promoted as part of the BRI, was in reality created as a conduit for the export of Central Asian resources to Europe. However, its successful operation under Euro-Atlantic control runs counter to the US strategy to limit resource flows to the EU. As a result: Trump's America is reorganizing logistics so that it passes through the entry points they control. This is exactly what is being discussed with Moscow.
